AFRA´S FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION DIRECTIVE

 

UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights

 

Articles 16, 17 1-2, 18 1-2, 19 1-2, and 26 state the following:

 

Article 16

Everyone shall have the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.

 

Article 17 

1. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary or unlawful interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to unlawful attacks on his honour and reputation. 

2. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks. 

 

Article 18 

1. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. This right shall include freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice, and freedom, either individually or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching. 

2. No one shall be subject to coercion which would impair his freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice. 

 

Article 19

1. Everyone has the right to hold an opinion without interference.

2. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression; this right includes the freedom to search, receiving and transmitting all kinds of information and ideas regardless of boundaries, whether orally or in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other medium of your choice.

 

Article 26

All persons are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to the equal protection of the law. In this respect, the law shall prohibit any discrimination and guarantee to all persons equal and effective protection against discrimination on any ground such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

 

UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights

 

Articles 6, 7, 12, 18, and 19 state the following:

 

Article 6 

Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.

 

Article 7

All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.

 

Article 12

No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.

 

Article 18

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

 

Article 19:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

 

Last warning:

Per the articles mentioned earlier, this serves as your formal legal notification. You are bound by law to comply with the articles mentioned earlier in the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights regarding freedom of thought, conscience, religion, belief, opinion, expression and freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. If you cannot tolerate another opinion, belief or idea, now is the time to stop.

Violators will be subject to criminal prosecution and civil penalties, 

regardless of location.
